Patient History View

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Easel displays study information in two modes: Single Study View and Patient History View. In Patient History View mode, studies are listed in chronological order with the most recent study first.

What's in Patient History View?

Notes:

1.Patient information is only visible if studies belong to more than one patient.
2.When there is more than one patient, studies are grouped by patient and sorted chronologically within each patient.
3.The "primary" study, which is the one that was opened from the DICOM Explorer, is indicated with a star.

Selecting Display Sets

To select a display set from a study in the Patient History View,

1.Move the mouse over the study. It will slightly expand to show thumbnails for all its display sets.
2.Click on a thumbnail to drop the display set into the image box. If necessary, use the horizontal scroll bar to navigate through the thumbnails.

Notes:

1.Easel automatically closes when you select a display set. To open it again in the same image box, move the mouse to the top-left corner and click on the button that appears.
2.After selecting a display set, the study will be highlighted with a green border in all other instances of Easel to make it easier to identify. This is because you will often want to assign other display sets from the same study to the other image boxes, and the green border makes it easier to find the same study again.

Switching to Single Study View

To quickly assign multiple display sets from the same study in several image boxes, it is useful to switch to the Single Study View first. There are two ways to accomplish this:

1.(Fastest) Double-click anywhere on the study.
2.Use the button
